The OWNRy is a Proto-lance N Scale layout set in 1960's where Class 1, UP/NP /SP/SP&S, share the Portland Terminal, with passenger operations central to the operations and freight movment complementary to operations.

Control is via Digitrax DCC. Car forwarding is with car card & waybill designed by Raymond Fisher of Mechanisburg, PA. TimeTable & Train Orders will be used with a fast clock, however initially we are using track warrants with CTC control. We are working out a method for dispatching with someone such as Ray, serving as dispatcher from a remote location.

The layout is currently operated "in the dark" meaning no signals, however I am currently adding signals along the mainline with Digitrax BDL 162 for occupancy detection and SE8C for signal control. Signal Logic will be built into a computer using either WINLOK or RailROad & Co. I have connected the lower layout to my previously built shortline based upon 1972 "Model Railroader" KINNICKINNICK DOCK, set in 1950's, using UP/NP leased equipment.

Novices are welcome. We are working on a method to dispatch via Internet with Ray as the dispatcher based on east coast. I live in Northern California, near Nevada City/Grass Valley.
